Poem for a Dad

Travel can be rough with the little ones

This really is dad’s time to shine

In this day of Spock and Gates

Families are heads down in the glow
Always on the go

Some father’s won’t hand over their young so easily

To the passed Jobs and his hammer throwing

It takes a bit moreA bit more laughter

A bit more timeBe a dad take the time

Be in the moment

We don’t own them

One day they will be gone with their tools

If life is a journey

Travel is a time to show

A true space wranglers skills

Pick something hard

Over something light

The value of knowing “Where The Sidewalk Ends”

Is more powerful than knowing where to charge up
